Using Bluekite
Bluekite is a free educational website about Earth and space science for students aged about 10 to 16, their teachers and their families. You're welcome to read, explore and learn from everything here.
In the classroom
Teachers, tutors and home educators may show Bluekite in lessons, share links with students, and print or copy pages for classroom and homework use, free of charge. Please keep the Bluekite name on printed copies.
What we ask
- Don't sell our content or republish it on another website as your own.
- Don't use the site in a way that could break it or disrupt it for others.
- Be kind and respectful if you contact us.
Accuracy
We check our facts against published scientific sources, but science keeps moving — for example, new moons are still being discovered around the giant planets. Numbers are often rounded to make them easier to remember. If you spot something out of date or wrong, please tell us at hello@bluekite.space.
Experiments
Our “Try it” activities are simple, but always do them with a responsible adult nearby, and never look directly at the Sun.
Independence
Bluekite is independent. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any space agency, school board or exam body.
Links
If we link to other websites, we aren't responsible for their content. Check with a teacher or parent if you're unsure about a site.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time; the latest version will always be on this page. Last updated: January 2026.
